Description

Flight at Minimum Controllable Airspeed demonstrates the flight characteristics and controllability when the aircraft is at it's minimum flying speed.

Objective

To develop the pilot's sense of feel and ability to use the controls correctly, and to improve proficiency in performing maneuvers that require slow airspeeds.

Clearing Turns

Emergency Landing Point Selected

Reference Point Selected

Configuration (CCGUMPS)

  • Cowl Flaps OPEN
  • Carburetor Heat ON
  • Gas Both
  • Undercarriage Down
  • Mixture As Required
  • Power Cruise Power (18' MP, 2300 RPM)
  • Switches / Seat Belts ON
